24 July 2019, 1 - 4 pm Anglo-Saxon & Viking Day
Join us at Bradwell Abbey as part of the Festival of Archaeology and meet real-life characters from the past. Learn about the lands of Muspielheim and Niefelheim and how those from how the world was created from the body of a giant. Meet a viking and learn some viking games, and make your own viking axe and shield to protect yourself from invaders. Entry is £3 per child and £1 per adult. Entry includes all activities.

Journey back nearly 2,000 years to when the Romans conquered and lived in these lands. Come and find out if you've got what it takes to be a Roman! Tickets £3 per child, £1 per adult, available on the day.

Bradwell Abbey flourished in the Middle-Ages. Discover Knights, Ladies and Jesters, put your parents in the stocks or practice your archery. Part of Heritage Open Days. Free entry.

30 Oct 2019 2 pm - 6 pm Halloween at Bradwell Abbey
Have you heard? Heinous crimes have taken place and people must be brought to justice. However the year is 1645 and some of the punishments are quite scary!

 

1 Dec 2019 11 am - 4 pm Angels at the Abbey
Experience all of the delights of Christmas, the sights, the smells! Visit Santa in his Grotto, listen to live music in the Cruck Barn. Explore the Christmas Market and Eat, Drink and Be Merry!

 

Bradwell Abbey also hosts a variety of arts, music and cultural community / family events, such as Togfest, and the Barrel Bikers Bike Show.
