There is ample parking on the adjoining industrial estate. There is limited parking on the actual Abbey site itself so please keep this for the less abled. Dogs on leads allowed.

Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre is a local educational charity that provides talks, workshops and experience days on the historical and geographical past, present and future of Milton Keynes. This event is in collaboration with Bradwell Parish Council.

Enter Valhalla, hall of the glorious Viking slain, where you will be put to the warrior test and made to choose your side for Ragnarök, the Viking End of Days! Will you fight with Odin and Thor against the giants, or will you choose to side with Hel and the Bradwell Abbey Halloween dead as they join Loki and the giants against the ancient Gods? You decide! Traditional Halloween crafts and activities in the Cruck Barn, Valhalla in the Stonebarn, and walk the woodland trail to the cold dark depths of Helheim. See you there! Our supper clubs with local community groups are proving popular, so we’re opening up the opportunity to participate to the general public! If you’ve ever wondered how to design a city, or been curious about how Milton Keynes was created, then this is the event for you.

Dinner is included so why not join us to have informal discovery and discussion around the original plan for our city. Maybe you can come up with some new goals for Milton Keynes? Maybe you’ll like the original goals? We’d love to find out!

Join us on Friday 8 September, 7–9pm at the Events Space at MK Gallery (on the opposite side of the square to the main building.

Please be aware that the event will be recorded and photographed. All food will be vegan, but please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies.

This event is completely free but we would really appreciate donations to put back into our community garden's projects.

Pilgrims' half-term trail walk

Join us on a short, family-friendly walk in half-term from Bradwell Abbey to the concrete cows - where we will picnic with the pilgrims!

In collaboration with MK city council, this event is the second walk in the pilgrim trail series - Immerse yourself in the history of the area and find out more how medieval people lived and worked.

The fun starts at Bradwell Abbey at 11.30am on 1st June where your guide Nicky will take you on a walk across to our famous concrete cows
