Digital and Digitised Collections

As well as the Image Archive and Kitchener Collection, we have a number of collections where material has been made available to view online. Please see below for details of these.

Women Who Made MK
This digital collection is made up of PDF biographies of the ten women featured in the exhibition 'Women who made Milton Keynes' produced by the Milton Keynes group of The Fawcett Society. The exhibition explored the lives and contributions of ten pioneering women notable for their work and achievements in developing Milton Keynes.

Adrian Morrow Collection
Features many digital images of schemes worked on by Adrian Morrow as architect with Trevor Denton Wayland Tunley Architects and Urban Planners, and Adrian Morrow Architects. Schemes: Neath Hill D, Great Holm (Hilltops) Medical Centre, Oak Chapel at Crownhill crematorium, Studio on the Green, Tattenhoe Pavilion, Caroline Haslett School.

Milton Keynes Postcard Collection
The majority of these postcards featuring images of locations in and around Milton Keynes have been digitised. Most were published by the Milton Keynes Development Corporation to advertise the town in the 1980s.

Poster Collection
Posters advertising and providing information about Milton Keynes, events and services. We are undergoing an ongoing project to digitise these and make them available online.

Malcolm Anderson Collection
The 35mm slides from this collection have been digitised. Malcolm Anderson was Chief Land Surveyor at the Milton Keynes Development Corporation.

Wolverton Agora Plans Collection
Features two different designs proposed for the Agora building in Wolverton. These were photographed prior to their donation to the archive and the images have been included with the catalogue records.

John Seed Collection
Some of the architect’s concept drawings of existing villages in the designated area have been digitised. John Seed worked for Milton Keynes Development Corporation.

John Csáky Collection
Some of the artworks in this collection relating to Willen Lake promontory and Loughton balancing lakes have been digitised.

Architectural Models Collection
Most of the records for each model have images attached.
