In the Kitchener Collection are over a dozen photographs of local lacemakers.
- Isabella Dowdy, age 77, making a lace tea-cloth
- Harriet Ann Cooper, age 73, making “spider lace”. The narrowest lace, called “ninepin”, would earn 4d a yard – wider lace, twelve pin or “spider”, could earn 7d a yard (see Olney and District Historical Society)
